The bond is SO close between the skybax and rider that no other person may ride them. It's like a falcon and their falconer. The saddle is high enough around the sides that if the rider is laying down, they aren't going to roll out. The actual picture of the saddle is NOT what was used in the miniseries.. it has sides to it ... a lower one in the front so the rider can rest their chin, then there are special arm sections in it, and then there are sides to the back where there are leg holes, but I think another side in the back. It's a really, really customized saddle that fits the person perfectly.
